WHAT IS A BAUXITE VERIFICATION RESULT REPORT?

Maybe many of you are still unfamiliar with this. Naturally, because the term Bauxite verification report is a field of ESDM (Energy and Mineral Resources) which is managed by the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources of the Republic of Indonesia. To make the public understand more, it is very necessary to clearly explain the matter.

Related to the sending of bauxite to other countries, it will certainly involve shipping goods. Transfers to Overseas cannot be done haphazardly. However, all goods data complete with quantity and quality must be reported in an official report by an appointed surveyor.

To issue an LHV, a surveyor must do the following:

Submit Bauxite LHV Report through the Mining Information System no later than 1 day after the Sailing Approval Letter is issued
Submitting monthly reports to the Director General of Mineral and Coal with a copy to the governor no later than 10 calendar days

THE ROLE OF THE SURVEYOR IN THE BAUXITE LHV

In the Bauxite LHV Surveyor’s Report, surveyors have very important and various roles. They will swiftly identify both the quantity and quality of the bauxite to be sent. The following are some of the roles of the surveyor.

1. MAKE SURE ITEMS ARE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE TERMS

The first role of the surveyor is to ensure that the bauxite sent is in accordance with the provisions. To determine this, a detailed examination will be carried out first. Later a Certificate of Inspection will be issued to certify that the bauxite has passed the inspection.

In this case, the examination carried out includes technical and administrative conditions. Everything must be thoroughly and objectively examined. Bauxite data must be complete and its quality must be checked in the laboratory first so that it is accurate.

2. BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE COMPATIBILITY OF GOODS

Not only do they check the incoming or export bauxite, but the surveyor also has a big responsibility for the suitability of the goods sent. If there are errors, quantity and quality that do not match, then they are fully responsible. This is already protected by law.

Surveyors can also be prosecuted if they manipulate goods and their quality. The responsibility is indeed very large because the mistakes made can harm the country in no small amount. Therefore, be careful if you become a surveyor because every mistake made will be legally accounted for.

3. CONDUCTING ROUTINE REPORTS

Surveyors are also required to report regularly on the results of the bauxite verification they have carried out. There are reports that must be completed 1 day after identification, 1 month, and routine reports every 3 months. This must be done and if not, they will be subject to sanctions according to regulations.

Therefore, surveyors must be very observant and clever in storing data. Do not let the data collection results disappear before being reported. It is very dangerous. Furthermore, the confidentiality of goods data must also be maintained and may only be known by authorized parties because it is confidential.

PURPOSE OF BAUXITE VERIFICATION

The verification of bauixite and other minerals has been regulated in the Regulation of the Minister of Trade. It has the following objectives:

Exported bauxite has been laundered at least 40 percent
The company that owns the Bauksi Operation Mining Permit has built facilities for refining either independently or in collaboration with other parties

This verification is carried out by a surveyor at the time before loading the goods. This must be thoroughly verified before the bauxite is loaded in the shipment. Once inside the ship, the quality and quantity of bauxite can no longer be identified.
